Definitely recommend anyone to bring their love ones to stay in this wonderful place its like paradise so peacefully. Loved the little Catholic church they have inside. Thank u to all in Penacook Place you did a wonderful job with my grandfather. Keep up the great work! 👍

Recently moved my mom up here from Malden, I'm completely amazed at the dedication and caring she's been receiving here as well as the vast improvement she's shown over the last couple months since she's arrived at Pennacook. You won't find better care for a loved one than Pennacook nursing home. Went by there today & the staff was tirelessly working on changing the eating area back over from using it as a big board game for the patients. I've met no staff member or employee in the several visits a week that seems indifferent to the industry they chose unlike many other nursing homes which all have some caring staff, but not like this where they truly all work very hard at caring for the patients in a truly loving manner.

There are some caring people who work here, but the management is pretty awful. In the many months our family member was there we saw a serious shortage of staff resulting in patient needs unmet. Multiple times there were not enough staff to feed all the residents who needed assistance. The food which should have been warm was usually cold by the time the patient received it. Residents who ate in the common room had only one or two staff monitoring them. Bedridden individuals often had very long wait times to get assistance. At one point it was obvious our family member had not had their hair washed in weeks. After we made it known this was a problem things got somewhat better but we had to stay on top of it and repeatedly remind the staff.that this was needed. On the positive side there are some nurses and aides that are quite caring. Unfortunately the good ones are spread way too thin. I’m not a psychologist but it appears that a number of the staff have just given up trying to do a good job. I honestly believe in a facility with better care our loved one likely would have lived longer, or at a minimum they would have lived better. Overall the place is poorly managed. I would not recommend putting a loved one here.

This place is not a good place to rehab in. Rooms are very small (two to a single room). Two TVs in each room mounted to the walls, so you can’t really watch tv without disturbing your roommate. But it doesn’t matter anyway, because the TVs don’t work and they are aware of it. The telephones can’t receive calls, so you can’t call a Patient. Oh, there was a mouse in my mom’s room. The kitchen supposedly for patience and families was so filthy there were tiny flies flying around old food in the fridge and pink stuff growing on the water dispenser. When we complained, they shut down the kitchen to patience, apparently so they don’t have to clean it. I could go on, but I think you get the picture.

My friend is now being treated at Penacook. The facility is clean, morden and the rooms resemble a home bedroom. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They remember visitors and welcome you back. They have treated my friend with respect and kindness. Doctors and nurses are always present and have answered any questions I had at the time. Parking is one of the only faults I see with the facility.
