My father has been at the Spokane VA home for a few weeks. The staff are skilled, caring and professional. I am highly impressed by this facility. I can tell they truly respect Veterans. All of his needs are taken care of. I feel Spokane is blessed to have a facility like this serving our Veterans. Thank you for being awesome!
The Spokane Veterans Home has been an incredible source of support for my father and our family during a challenging time. The staff is compassionate, attentive, and truly dedicated to the well-being of the veterans they care for. From medical assistance to daily activities, they provide a level of care that brings comfort and peace of mind. My father was treated with dignity and respect, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure he felt comfortable and valued. Their professionalism, kindness, and patience made a significant difference, not just for him but for our entire family. If you’re looking for a place where veterans receive the care and honor they deserve, I highly recommend the Spokane Veterans Home. We are deeply grateful for everything they’ve done
My step dad was a resident there several years age. Recently my mom has had to be placed in a care facility. Comparing his care to hers is like comparing night and day. He was always clean, groomed and there was always a feeling that he was cared for and about. Thank you for making the most of his last days.
I owe this place my life and more! My son is a 29yo 100% service connected veteran who had a stroke and lost his toes due to negligence by Big Springs VA, Community hospital and Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo, Texas. He was thrown out like trash by every VA CLC from Texas to California and even Washington state! It was already a horrible situation as the hospital was doping him up and letting him die. I reached Tracey at the Spokane Veterans home and she literally got my son accepted within the span of one hour. President Trump sent an aircraft for my boy to be transported to Spokane and the moment he arrived he was bombarded with treatment plans! It was amazing, wonderful and I haven't seen my son so happy and independent since before his stroke! I truly wish there were 100000 stars available to give the Spokane Veterans Home! I'll NEVER be able to thank them enough! UPDATE: My son walked for the first time since 18 March 2018!!! He is going up and down stairs with help, he is getting the finest PT, OT and speech therapy available! These people are so awesome! And let me tell you, the food is to die for!!! It just doesn't get any better then this! We are truly blessed to have found this place! AND our lovely Congresswoman came to visit him! It's so good to be home! ❤
My father in law was a resident of this VA Nursing Home. I can’t say enough good things about the facility and the staff. We have a crisis of elder care in our country and so many want to blame the staff or nursing home. This VA home provided excellent care for my father in law. The staff are amazing given the work they do. Gpa always looked well cared for. The facility is clean and they try to make things comfortable for the residents. Until our healthcare system places more emphasis on elder care things won’t get better. So many of our elderly do not have the resources needed to pay for end of life care. These nursing homes are always understaffed and budgets are terribly lacking. Despite this, this facility really tries to provide their residents with the quality of care they deserve. We all have the right to be treated with dignity and respect no matter our stage of life. We appreciate everything the VA Nursing Home did for Gpa until the end.
