I was there all together 10 months. 7 months the first time with one nurse that wasn't nice. And the 2nd time 3 months. There were 2 male nurses very rude. They both worked on the East side. Everyone else was great. There was one person that looked down on me like I was stupid but she stopped after 4 or 5 months

I recently had a client who was a patient there, she received the best care. Everyone was extremely nice and made her feel at home away from her home. Renee is a super star. She coordinated all the discharge so my client could smoothly transition into her new assisted living community. I highly recommend!

There were far more positives than negatives during my stay at Alderwood. The first positives were the staff. In every department, nursing and care givers, food service, activities, ot and pt, housekeeping and administration departments as well as Social Services and the van driver were staffed with professional, gentle, motivating and sincerely kind individuals. Care was consistent. Follow up was timely. I give credit to these people for giving me my life back. There were, of course, some (only 2) staff who I couldn't handle. One, an agency nurse, was not appropriate for Alderwood's residents' needs. After a blunt conversation, the second nurse and I made peace. Nothing is perfect, staff shortages were noticeable. Overworked staff were also often noticeably tired and their exhaustion was apparent. Food was decent and food service staff very accommodating to residents' wants. Residents are given the opportunity to discuss issues at council meetings, monthly, but also able to voice concerns to anyone at anytime. The actual physical building shows it's age and could use some serious updates. Dan deserves a new van! Thank you staff, my appreciation goes far beyond words.

I went to visit a resident that's at Alderwood manor, she is there for rehab and it looked clean. As I walked down the hallway all the beds were made. When I took the resident back to her room her call light was in reach. I would recommend this place.
