We have had two family members stay at North Central in the last couple of years, including a recent stay by our elderly grandmother. Our family is so thankful for the care the staff have provided. They treated our family like they were their own. The nurses are very respectful and the nursing assistants go above and beyond. We can't say enough good things about them!

My sister-in-law said it does not smell bad, it is clean and the receptionist was very pleasant. For breakfast a cold slice of toast and a cold egg over easy. When I was released I told my spouse no matter what you fix me to eat, be sure and put in the frig to get it cold. That is what I became accustomed to. The PT/OT was inconsistent and not well explained. There was a seemingly insistence at the outset that I must peddle a bike which was unbearable pain and finally not part of the plan. The plan and amount of time devoted to PT was finally in the second week. My bath days were the best and professionaly accomplished. The bedside staff were pleasant. I am now back in the hospital, soon to be released to a care and rahabilitation facility and will not and never be North Coast Care.

Out of all the places in town. If you send your loved ones here you are sending them to the worst place. Two people I knew. My grandmother, and a very good friends mom broke there hip here within days of arriving. They got dropped. They also over medicated them. They let appendicitis go unknown, and put someone on hospice saying “it’s there time to go”, and we knew better, and we called 911. During this time we found out there was sepsis, gangrene, and also appendicitis. The hospital was shocked. The nurses are mean, and get aggressive with the clients. If I could do anything it would be to shut this place down for good. It smells, and the clients are literally living in filth. The paramedics, and sacred heart nurses and doctors all said it was abuse. I will NEVER allow someone I know to go here. This place is all about the money. The clients are a paycheck for the people running this place. Maybe one or two of the people here showed compassion.

Our brother received great care at North Central. The nurses and all of the staff were experienced, kind and very caring. The facility was always clean. They celebrated all the holidays and always had fun activities for their patients. A very special thank you for Susan, their receptionist, whose kindness and helpfulness was never ending, you always brought joy to Don. Also to James who took the time to get Don set up on his Lego hobby, even coming in on your days off to help. James you made a real difference in Don’s life. Thanks again to all those wonderful people at North Central.

My aunt had a burst appendix under her care at North Central, for 5-6 days. The ARNP said it was just at her "end of life", wanted to put her on hospice, and said she did not need more care or a second opinion. We had to call 911 to get her out of there. The paramedics noted "obvious signs of neglect" and at the hospital, they had to administer Naloxone, bc the Nurse Practitioner overprescribed Oxycodone. How many people have been killed by assuming they were dying when they had something medically wrong with them that could be addressed if caught in time? I have NEVER seen someone in so much pain. My aunt even wrote lower abdomen and appendicitis on her paper (she is mostly nonverbal). The inappropriate use of opioids, the total neglect and the complete lack of a diagnosis and standard care almost killed my Aunt (and may still). DO NOT TRUST their opinion. She also did not refer my aunt to a cardiologist after diagnosing her with heart failure. Our family requested it months ago and she has not followed through, even with multiple attempts. It is a complete lack of care. They also did not follow through on getting her counseling or other basic care. It was minimal support and they were constantly over medicating her. Instead of addressing her pain and taking her somewhere to get a proper check up, tehy labeled her combative when she was screaming in pain. She had a burst appendix for 5-6 days, that is excruciating pain. The staff blamed her for being difficult and needing anything. I woudl never want a family member or anyone to go here.
