Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
As a CNA at Monarch, you arrive for each shift and treat each of your patients with respect and kindness. You do everything you can to preserve their dignity, as you provide the individualized physical, psychological, and social support that they need. Your positive attitude makes a huge impact in their lives as you spend so much one-on-one time with them assisting with all the activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, bathing, feeding, toileting, transferring, walking, and positioning. You treat those you care for the same way you would want your own family members treated. You love people and enjoy interacting with patients and residents, as well as family, visitors, and other healthcare providers. You work together with the supervising nurse to ensure that all medical needs are properly met. Your attention to detail and accuracy helps ensure the highest quality care for our patients and residents. You also participate in care conferences as requested by the nurse. You are vigilant about reporting any changes in the condition of your patients and residents to the nurse. Under the nurse's direction, you and the other staff cooperate to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all of the residents and staff. In healthcare, it could be said that CNA's are the front-line staff. To many, you are the face of our company! Your skilled and compassionate care brings comfort to our residents and peace-of-mind to their families and loved ones. You go home each day tired but feeling good about the positive impact you have made in the lives of many.
