ABOUT COASTAL INJURY CARE CENTER Coastal Injury Care Center is a 24-hour team of multidisciplinary physicians, nurses, and therapists offering short- and long-term inpatient care. We fulfill prescribed rehabilitation therapies for individuals who are chronically disabled, have been severely injured, or require respiratory support. Our complex case management services allow all of our patients' providers to be on the same page about their care. We provide a wide variety of services based on the individual needs of the patient, including medication management, pulmonary care, psychosocial support, rehabilitation, dietary care, and more. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN LVN CHARGE NURSE As an LVN Charge Nurse, you work with your own patients while directing the day-to-day tasks of our other nurses. Each day, you provide world-class care to each of your patients, making sure to keep up with charting and create periodical status reports for each resident. You collaborate with our interdisciplinary care plan team to develop a comprehensive assessment and care plan for each assigned resident. You ensure that each nurse assigned to you complies with our company policies and procedures. You also perform various administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, and evaluations. Additionally, you participate in the development, maintenance, and implementation of the facility's quality assurance program. QUALIFICATIONS • 1+ years of experience as an LVN • Bachelor's degree in nursing • Current California LVN license • Current driver's license and reliable transportation • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, such as standing for long periods of time, kneeling, squatting, and helping to lift patients Supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
