Caregiver/CNA (Palos Verdes, Ca)

Position Requirements: All candidates must pass a caregiver background check as mandated by California law. Must be able to lift 25 pounds. Must have CPR and First Aid training. Job Requirements: Applicants need to: • -Pass a health screening • -Have a current TB test or chest x-ray • -Have Proof of COVID-19 vaccinations • - Prefer Applicant to be registered as a Home Care Aide Caregiver Duties and Responsibilities: Basic tasks, which remain the same when caring for an aging parent or senior loved one which include following duties: 1. Assist with basic needs Memory and mobility issues can make even basic needs such as eating, bathing, grooming, and toileting — commonly referred to as “activities of daily living”. Check in often and pay attention to specific signs and changes to determine if your loved one needs extra help. 2. Provide companionship Providing companionship, exercises and fun activities. 3. Help with housekeeping Maintaining a home, clean the dishes, taking out the garbage, and cleaning floors. 4. Monitor medications May need help keeping track of their medication list, understanding drug interactions, and taking prescribed dosages at the right time. 5. Assess your care plan regularly As circumstances surrounding residents inevitably change, the care plan will need to be adjusted. Review it regularly to determine what’s working, what’s not, and what needs to be adapted. 6. Prepare meals Preparing meals on daily bases to ensure the residents get proper nutrition. 7. Assist with transfer and mobility Assisting from moving or transferring — from bed to a chair to ensure and prevent falls and help residents to stay safe and comfortable.
