Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
Richfield Living is accepting applications for Certified Nursing Assistant. We have Full Time, Part Time and PRN openings are our Health Center in Salem, VA. Richfield Living has transformed our medical model skilled nursing facility to the household model “where daily life flourishes in the richness of all that is home.” Each household has common shared areas consisting of a living room, dining room, and kitchen as well as a private bedroom and bathroom for each resident. As part of the Household Model, our community has implemented a Person Directed Lifestyle philosophy. The Household CNA has the primary responsibility of enhancing the resident's quality of life and working closely with the other household members. Our Household CNAs provides medical and physical care to the residents of the household to meet their daily needs and enable them to function at the highest possible level. While this care is provided under the leadership of a licensed nurse, the CNA is the residents closest advocate in the household. The CNA works with the household team to meet the social service needs of the residents and the household, always providing support, friendship, and kindness for the household members. The CNA plans and facilitates social activities for residents by providing meaningful ways to spend time for recreation, exercise, relationship building, and fun. The CNA supports the household homemaker in maintaining a clean, safe household environment. Qualifications: Must be licensed or become licensed as a CNA within 120 days of completing a state approved CNA class. Possess a genuine concern and interest for all residents and have a strong understanding of and skills for caring for persons. Must be at least 18 years of age. Excellent customer service skills and ability to follow instructions. Ability to maintain confidentiality in a variety of circumstances and make sound judgments. Ability to report to work on time and complete the assigned work shift. Possess strong team skills in decision making and completing tasks in a team format.
