We are hiring for Full-Time, Part-Time and PRN! Shifts Available: 2nd shift – hours are 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. 3rd shift – hours are 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Roles & Responsibilities: Assisting clients with personal hygiene, including shower, tub or bed baths, mouth, skin and hair care Assisting clients in the use of toilet facilities, including bedpans and/or urinals Assisting clients with getting in and out of bed and walking, both with and without medical equipment Performing and recording blood sugar, blood pressure, pulse and respirations, when required Assisting client with self-medication, meal preparation and feeding Documenting and reporting changes to the client’s physical condition, behavior or appearance Documenting services delivered in accordance with agency medical records, policies and procedures Perform household services that are essential to client health care; changing bed linens, laundry washing, ironing and folding Report all changes in the resident’s condition to the Supervising Nurse as soon as possible Maintain a safe environment for all clients at all times Essential Functions: Ability to follow written and oral instructions Assist clients with a wide range of tasks from personal hygiene and medical care to household and food needs Ability to understand and relate to information concerning client’s condition Knowledge as it relates to the use of medical lifting equipment and administration of simple testing (i.e. blood sugar) Other Duties: Every effort has been made to identify the essential functions of this position. Qualifications: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language Must have reliable transportation and/or ready access to public transportation at all hours. Must have ability to travel within 50 mile radius of office location. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day. The employee must frequently lift or move objects and patients weighing over 50 pounds. This position requires working hours in; private settings (home based care), Friendship Rehab North, Friendship Rehab South, Salem Terrace, and Friendship Assisted Living. Education & Experience: High School diploma or GED Valid Certified Nurse Aide, in accordance with laws of this state, required Working Conditions: Will be working in multiple client homes on a daily basis Works beyond normal working hours, weekends, and holidays and on other shifts/positions as necessary. Is subject to call-back during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.). Attends and participates in continuing educational programs. Is subject to injury from falls, burns from equipment, odors, etc., throughout the day, as well as to reactions from dust, disinfectants
