Health Aide

Atterdag Village of Solvang is a Continuing Care Retirement Community, offering our residents independent, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing care. Our Health Aides are a team oriented group, working together to provide the highest quality of care to our residents. We currently have the following Full-Time and Part Time positions open on our team: Health Aides to work in Independent, Assisted and Memory Care facilities for a person with background of CNA, Medical Assistant, EMT or similar experience. Must have First Aid and CPR. Job Duties include but not limited to: Provide professional, compassionate and quality care to all residents. Assists residents with activities of daily living (ADL’s). Promptly responds to all resident care needs and emergency situations. Provides for the resident’s physical care including bathing, performing hygiene tasks, toileting, assisting with meals, and other tasks. Transfers residents in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs and/or automobiles. Changes bed linens, picks up laundry and assists to maintain tidiness of resident bedrooms, closets and dresser drawers, as well as common areas and perform other housekeeping duties as needed. Transports residents to and from activity locations, which may include some driving of vehicles and golf carts. Supports resident care plan and notifies Director of changes that may need to be made to resident’s care plan. Facilitates and participates in residents group activities.
