Home Health Aide (HHA) Job Description
Position Summary:
The Home Health Aide provides non-skilled, hands-on personal care and support to clients in their homes, promoting comfort, dignity, and independence while following the care plan.
Job type: This is a 1099 (independent contractor) position.
Key Responsibilities:
Personal Care:
Assist with bathing, grooming, and hygiene
Help with dressing and undressing
Provide toileting and incontinence care
Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation
Daily Living Support:
Prepare meals and assist with feeding if needed
Perform light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, tidying up)
Provide companionship and emotional support
Health & Safety:
Remind clients to take medications (no administration)
Observe and report changes in condition
Maintain a safe and clean environment
Qualifications:
Minimum 18 years old
Completion of HHA training (minimum 75 hours or equivalent)
Active CPR certification
Level 2 background screening
Valid ID and authorization to work in the U.S.
Skills:
Compassionate and patient
Reliable and punctual
Good communication skills
Ability to follow care plans and instructions
Background Screening:
Candidates selected for this position must go through a Care Provider Background Screening process as required by the state of Florida.
