SCOPE OF POSITION: Provides care and directs the staff to follow the resident plan of care as determined by the Head Nurse. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES: -Complies with nursing standards as established by N.H. Nurse Practice Act, policies and procedures of the Nursing Department and the facility. -Supervises, delegates and evaluates the work performance of LNAs on the unit assigned and identifies learning needs. . -Maintains resident privacy, dignity, confidentiality; promotes safe, comfortable environment. -Performs and signs drug count at change of shift and documents according to RCNH policy. -Assesses residents and identifies, reports and documents any change in resident's status. -Assumes responsibility for documentation of self and LNAs, which meets RCNH policy standards and State/Federal requirements including nurse's notes and incident reports. -Identifies and utilizes infection control techniques at all times in accordance with RCNH Policy and Standard Precautions. -Assumes responsibility for all aspects of care related to admissions, transfers or discharges. TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS: -Must be a graduate of a state approved school of nursing and possess a valid New Hampshire LPN License. -Must possess qualities of leadership and have a genuine interest in geriatric nursing -Must possess ability to work harmoniously with others and delegate authority wisely. SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL: -2nd Shift: $2.75/hour -3rd Shift: $3.50/hour -Weekend Premium: $2.00/hour Equal Employment Opportunity. Mandatory post offer physical and drug testing for new hire.
