Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description

SCOPE OF POSITION:
Provides care and directs the staff to follow the resident plan of care as determined by the Unit Manager.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
-Is responsible for administering medications, treatments, and documentation in accordance with policy.
-Transcribes and carries out medical orders. Follows plan of care, which is determined by the Unit Manager in conjunction with the Interdisciplinary Team.
-Follows up on issues identified on previous shifts and contacts and collaborates with other departments as needed.
-Assesses resident and identifies, reports and documents any change in resident status.
-Communicates with Nursing Supervisor in a timely manner regarding significant issues: i.e., change in resident's condition, environmental, personnel or safety concerns.
TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
-Must be a graduate of a state approved school of nursing and possess a valid New Hampshire RN License.
-Must possess qualities of leadership and have a genuine interest in geriatric nursing
-Must possess ability to work harmoniously with others and delegate authority wisely.
WEEKEND DIFFERENTIAL:
Sat/Sun: Earn 1.5X the base hourly rate + applicable shift differentials:
Hours worked between 7:00am-3:00pm: $3.00/hour
Hours worked between 3:00pm-11:00pm: $7.125/hour
Hours worked between 11:00pm-7:00am: $8.25/hour
