LPN NEEDED ASAP

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide in-home care for a patient diagnosed with epilepsy who requires close monitoring and support. The nurse must also assist with bowel management, as the patient experiences 5–6 bowel movements daily. This role requires attention to detail, patient safety, and strong observation skills to ensure quality care and prevent complications. Key Responsibilities Epilepsy Care Monitor patient for seizure activity, document frequency, duration, and characteristics. Implement seizure precautions and maintain a safe environment at all times. Administer prescribed anti-seizure medications accurately and on schedule. Recognize and respond to seizure emergencies, following established protocols. Educate family/caregivers on seizure management and safety precautions. Bowel Management Monitor, document, and assist with 5–6 bowel movements daily. Provide hygiene care and skin integrity checks to prevent irritation or breakdown. Track patterns of bowel activity and report abnormalities (diarrhea, constipation, blood in stool, etc.) to the supervising RN or physician. Implement bowel care plan as ordered (medications, diet support, hydration reminders). General Nursing Duties Conduct routine vital sign checks and health assessments. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all care provided. Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, caregivers, and family members. Support the patient with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and nutrition as needed. Ensure infection control and EVV compliance (if applicable). Job Requirements Licensure & Credentials Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Florida. Current CPR/BLS certification. Experience Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in home health or with neurology/epilepsy patients. Experience with bowel management and incontinence care strongly preferred. Skills & Qualities Strong observational and documentation skills. Ability to remain calm and responsive during seizures or emergencies. Compassionate, patient-centered approach with attention to dignity and comfort. Physical ability to assist with mobility, hygiene, and daily living needs. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Other Requirements Smartphone with internet access for EVV clock-in/out (per agency compliance). Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends if needed.
