About River Bluff Health and Rehabilitation Serving the community since 1883, River Bluff proudly provides a continuum of intermediate and skilled nursing services including short-term rehabilitation, Alzheimer’s and dementia care, long-term intermediate care, and palliative and hospice care. We provide many services including rehabilitation therapy, restorative services, support services, nursing services, and volunteer services. River Bluff is looking to fill full and part time positions, days, nights, and weekend shifts. River Bluff RN's supervises and administers nursing services to residents on an assigned team; oversees the dispensing of and administers medicines and treatments to residents; directs personal care of residents; monitors, reports and records residents progress. You will be responsible for educating them and their families on prevention and healthy habits. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best nursing care with little supervision. You will be compassionate and cool-tempered. You will be able to follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently. The goal is to promote patient’s well-being by providing high quality nursing care. We provide many services including rehabilitation therapy, restorative services, support services, nursing services, and volunteer services. Responsibilities · Supervises, evaluates and updates personnel assigned to team; prepares CNA and Unit Attendant assignments; maintains record of unit employee attendance; · Maintains accurate patient reports and charting · Assists physician in conducting unit rounds; · Reports resident’s symptoms and condition to physician; · Notifies physician in case of emergency; obtains, transcribes and carries out physician orders. · Gives direct patient care which cannot be carried out by nonprofessional personnel; gives assistance to CNA or Unit Attendant when necessary. · May be required to serve in capacity as House Supervisor. · Conducts meetings with staff as necessary. · Attends fire and disaster drills, in-service training programs and a variety of required meetings, including supervisory meetings, safety meetings, etc. · Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and fill in patients’ charts · Adjust and administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s orders · Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety · Provide instant medical care in emergencies · Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families
