Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description
Established Home Health Agency looking for a motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a full-time position, office-based. Previous Home Health Care experienced is preferred. Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to) Review documentation contained in the medical record for appropriateness and completeness. Familiar with EMR system Oversees and manages clinical operations and all patient services provided by agency personnel in coordination with Clinical Supervisor(s) Provides guidance and counseling to the Clinical Supervisor(s) to assist in continually improving all aspects of home health care services. Assists the Agency with compliance of federal and state regulations and JCAHO standards Assists in the investigation of all accident/exposure incidents related to clinical operations. Participates in and oversees billing practices Review/Compose Plans of Care Review documentation for proper visit utilization Maintain knowledge of state and federal regulations including all changes and updates Gather data and statistics for QA program Review OASIS documentation Maintain knowledge of interaction classification of diseases coding systems to include revisions Perform QA audits Any other tasks as assigned by the director of patient care services Skills/Conditions Experience as a registered nurse (RN) Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures Excellent knowledge of emergency care In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination, etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Responsible and compassionate Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills BSN diploma Valid Nursing License (RN) Position dependent on meeting deadlines Primarily a desk job which essentially involves sitting, standing, stooping and walking, and telephone communications Requires minimal lifting of office records and printouts Has excellent judgement and knowledge of current nursing practices, with demonstrated exemplary clinical, analytical and documentation skills Current and satisfactory report on pre-employment physical examination including Mantoux TB Test or chest X-ray as required by Agency policies and procedures Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, PRN Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Continuing education credits Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Medical specialties: Home Health Schedule: 10 hour shift 12 hour shift 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Work setting: Long term care Work Location: Office
