My husband was admitted to Garden Terrace after a complete knee & femur replacement. We were very pleased with his care & everyone that worked there couldn’t have been more helpful! His room was great & he said the food was very good & more than he could eat! Our experience with Garden Terrace overall was very positive & we would not hesitate to go back if the need arose again!
Always helpful and friendly. Informative and understanding. My mom is not unhappy and your center is conveniently located so visits to mom are great.
I was at Garden Terrace for a little over 3 months. The CNA‘s were my main contacts & I especially appreciated Evanson, Christine and Mercy on the dayshift, Miranda on the evening shift & Rosemary on the night shift. The PR & OT therapists were excellent, encouraging and focused. For PT I worked mainly with Ty and OT, primarily Sean. Heyyoung, Neil, Penina, & Maggie are 4 of the nurses with whom I had very positive interactions. My main negative comment is a management issue. Management does not staff sufficiently. Many shifts were under staffed resulting in long wait times for assistance & sometimes a single CNA having responsibility for 16-20 patients. Overall, I recommend Garden Terrace Healthcare Center of Federal Way.
This is the 4th time my Mom has been to Garden Terrace for rehab. The 4 stars are for the Staff, they are great, however, the problem with Garden Terrace is there is never enough of that fabulous staff. Tonight as I went to visit my mother, 5 rooms had lights flashing, and there was only a couple staff (as far as I could tell) available to deal with all the calls for help. Not great in a place where everyone needs help.
The facility knew my husband discharge date from insurance a full week before we where informed of his discharge. They failed to notify us until the day before discharge. Had we been advised early we could have appealed to the insurance company. And a full week after the expedited discharge I get a notification in mail that I could appeal this decision. They do not care about their patience and are in it strictly for the money. My husband's backside was not being cleaned properly causing bleeding and inflamed redness. Night staff ignores patience calls. One gentleness was left on the bedside commode for 90 minutes with no response. He attempted to get off by himself and fell. Was left on the floor for 40 minutes more before he was assisted. And no one reported the patient fall. Additionally, for what they charge you would think chicken patty or burgers would not be a regular dinner item. (Lunch maybe?) Pork chops so overcooked they where bricks and unedible. Maybe have them eat what they are serving.
