I actually stayed here for a time, and it was more than I thought it would be. They help you with so many things that veterans who don't have a place need. It's a historical place, so that's one reason for people to visit here. They have a tiny home community that is thriving. Great staff and a small fishing pond that's stocked for the vets to relax at.
Comfortable. Staff speaks English and are very helpful. If they don't know an answer to a question or request you might have, they will find someone who does. My husband is really happy there as he needs 24hr care and being in my 70's myself, sometimes it was too difficult for me to provide. And they have lots of extra activities for residents to join in. I am very thankful he gets such good care.
Unhealthy environment to live. Drugs being used here. Leaking roof in the men's barracks. A piece of tile from the ceiling in the upstairs Day room fell next to me while watching TV. The Supervisor is not doing her job . She thinks a shower in every room is more important than fixing the roof. The men's barracks had a resident overdosed on drugs. Luckily he is alive because some veterans got to him and provided narcan to him.
So far it seems like I'm the only one here playing Ingress...my grand freezer castle awaits, you can join me if you like
I’ve been at this facility for months and they been mentally and physically abusive towards me. And now trying to alter my medical appointments .
