This place seemed nice. Until they dropped my mom. They didn't call us. they sent her to the hospital the hospital got a hold of us three days later. They were covering were for each other. My mom died in the hospital and again no phone calls were made.. She was dead for three days before I found out.Don’t put your loved ones in this facility. We did hire a lawyer. The lawyer said we didn’t have a case because my mom was 82 years old and bed ridden. They said that she was gonna die anyway. this all happened At the endDecember 2019 I found out the beginning of January 2020.
I was there to treat an infection. With a few exceptions the staff was great. Katie and Jaclyn were amazing. It’s a well run, clean and safe facility. I believe any patient would feel comfortable knowing the level of care is top notch.
First I would like to start off on a positive note. This place is very clean mostly all the staff is very friendly. Nurse Ceria, Kathie, aid Frances made the best impression on me and my husband. Not with these ladiessl but at times there is a slow response time when you ring for assistance. The staff I'm the laundry department lost some of my husband cloths and was slow about cleansing and returning the remaining of is belongings. The food was horrible, for over 3 weeks my husband lost several pounds because he would not eat it all all. I had to take him food everyday for 6 weeks. After it was brought to the cook (Jackie) attention, she fixed him a few special meals then we didn't hear nothing else from her. The SW Brittany let Sue in administration know and for some reason Sue was in denial of the food being Nasty Therapy was good when the got to him, but I feel they could have worked with him more because that was the only reason he was there for. I know it may be better then some places and worse then others but before you entrust your love one with them, please do your homework This is an update to my last review Please if you are sent a bill from Rivergate Terrace, please check with your insurance company to see if it covered. I was sent an invoice from my husband's stay in the amount of $1378.00 after reaching out to our they stated we had met out deductable and we were 100 %covered After Rivergate challanged this bill a few times they never came up with an itemized bill. 2 months later they called me and said I had a $0 Bal. How about that! Never accept what you know is not right! I a'm also waiting on them to reimburse us for some of my husbands clothes items when he was discharged. It' has been 3 months and after saying they said they would take of it- they still haven't sent any compensation for it. I will update you all on that outcome come later
I cant say enough with how happy myself and my family are with this facility. My loved one has been here a little over a week and just WOW! He has been in a few nursing home and this is by far the best. Everybody I have encountered is so friendly. Therapy has been wonderful and encouraging. Nurse Katie is so friendly and kind. CNA Stacy so caring and funny she always has a smile on her face. Nurse manager Brandon was beyond knowledgeable and explained entire process and everything we can expect. I had several questions regarding his health issues and new medications and he explained everything in detail. The room is clean and the building does not have the urine smell like most nursing homes. Thank you to everybody for making us feel welcome and safe.
I chose Rivergate Terrace for my mother when she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. I visit her often and the staff is always friendly and helpful. My mom is always well taken care of and has never has a complaint. I highly recommend this facility if your searching for a place where the nurses and physical therapists really care about their clients.
