Certified Medication Technician (CMT) Job Description
Job description Glen Park at Valley Village is now looking for someone to join our team as a medication technician caregiver role! As a leader in the senior housing industry, Glen Park is looking for caregivers that are enthusiastic about providing compassionate care for seniors in an assisted living environment. Glen Park’s mission is to provide quality dignified care and to create a supportive healthy social environment for our residents to thrive in. Assist with the basic needs of an RCFE (Residential Care Facility for the Elderly). Provide ethical and respectful care to residents. Administer medication to residents in accordance to Title 22 regulations of the California Administrative Code. Order and reorder medication for residents, following explicit physician instructions. Monitor the resident’s medication administration records and report any errors to the Lead Medication Technician and/or Administrator. Progressive documentation and communication with the physician and /or medical professionals. Scheduling of resident doctor’s appointments. Ensure that residents stay stress-free as much as possible by working with medical professionals in regards to reducing pain while promoting engagement and independence. Maintains good composure during emergencies. Maintains a safe work environment. Mandatory Live-Scan Clearance and TB test and CPR/AED certification are required upon job offer. Must also have previous experience as a caregiver who is familiar with managing 20 plus residents within an 8hr shift. Compensation is based on experience. Glen Park is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
