Overview
Monitor residents’ health status using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Residex to document medical records meticulously and ensure regulatory compliance.
Supervise and mentor staff and care teams to uphold high standards of patient care while ensuring adherence to long-term care regulations and safety protocols.
Coordinate discharge planning, case management activities, and utilization review processes to optimize resident outcomes and facility operations.
Respond promptly to emergencies including acute pain episodes, or airway management needs while maintaining sterile techniques and infection control standards.
Skills
Proven experience working with seniors in assisted living or long-term care environments with a strong foundation in geriatrics care.
Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Residex for accurate documentation and medical records management.
Extensive knowledge of state healthcare regulations, HIPAA compliance, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and medical documentation standards.
Ability to perform physical examinations, vital signs assessment, diagnostic evaluation, and utilize physiology knowledge for comprehensive patient assessment.
Experience managing teams within nursing leadership roles with strong managerial communication skills; supervising staff effectively while fostering teamwork.
Knowledge of behavioral health issues common among elderly populations.
