Home Care Aide (HCA) Job Description
We are looking for a caring individual to join our team as a Health Support Aide at Hillview Health Care Center in La Crosse, WI! You will make a positive impact on the lives of our residents and staff each day. Pay, Differentials, and Benefits: Starting wage is between $11.30 & $13.10/hr! This position is eligible to receive a shift differential of $1.50/hr for hours worked between 5 PM & 10 PM. An additional weekend differential is offered at $2.00/hr. Time and one-half pay is offered on the following holidays: July 4th, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Hours of Work/Shifts Available: Works very part-time hours, averaging between 12 to 20 hours every two weeks. Weekday shifts (Monday through Friday) could be 8 am - 1 pm and/or 4:30 pm - 7 pm. Weekend shifts are 7:30 am - 1 pm or 2:30 pm - 7 pm. Essential Job Duties: Maintains beds including removal of bed linens per schedule or as need and making unoccupied beds. Straightens closets, drawers and night stands, ensure rooms are clean and tidy. Assures that resident's room is kept in a neat, organized, and hygienic condition. Passes snacks to independent residents, passing trays and help set up. Passes clean towels and wash cloths, picks up used linen/clothing, stocks linen shelves, carts, closets, etc. Marks, prepares and maintains inventory of residents' clothes. Cleans wheelchairs, broda chairs, commodes, and other personal care items as scheduled. Performs Central Supply job functions as assigned. Puts resident clothing away in closets and drawers. Pick up tub rooms after use. Assists in transporting wheel chair residents to and from meals and other activities as scheduled or directed. Accompanies residents to appointments outside the facility. Assists in the dining room by responding to request, wiping off tables after meals, and clean-up duties, etc. Transports food carts to and from units.
