Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Job Description
Apply Come join our team of dedicated staff! We are looking for a caring and compassionate individual to join our team of dedicated and hardworking Resident Care Assistants serving our tenants. You will make a difference in the lives of our tenants by assisting them with personal cares, activities of daily living and social activities while helping them maintain as much independence and dignity as possible. Hillview Terrace has openings on 1st shift in our state of the art Assisted Living. This position does not require you to be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Hours of Work: 1st shift works 6:30 pm to 2:30 pm or 7:00 pm to 3:00 pm. This position may include working every other weekend and some holidays. Pay, Differentials and Benefits: $16.08/hr. for Certified C.N.A. and $15.00/hr. for Non-Certified. There is a $1.00/hr. differential for weekends plus shift differentials. Irregular Part-time: Qualifies to receive time and one-half pay on the following holidays: July 4th, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Assists tenants in daily activities, such as orientation of new tenants, escorting and transporting to various activities, encouraging socializing and communicating with other tenants, and assisting and encouraging them with own care to preserve their dignity and self worth. Assists with or provides personal care. Answers emergency call system and follow up as necessary. Performs simple nursing duties such as weights, temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Assists with meal service and clean up. Changes bed linens, collects laundry and assists with housekeeping duties (vacuums, dust, bathroom and kitchen clean up). Empties tenant garbage regularly and common areas as assigned. Assures tenant apartments are neat and safe.
